Liz Ashworth is an award-winning painter, poet, fiction-writer and journalist. Her work has appeared in magazines in the USA and the UK, and she has taught creative writing for twenty years to adults and children in residential programmes, college-run classes and degree and postgraduate programmes.
Her teaching is accessible, inspiring and fun and she is proud of her many grateful and successful students. She believes everyone has creative talent and a story to tell! Her short-story collection, The Origami Bird was published by Parthian Books, after her successful memoir, So I Kissed Her Little Sister came out in 1999. Flashes and Specks, her second poetry collection, was published by Cinnamon Books in 2009.
Liz returns full-time to her first love painting this year, with a successful exhibition at Galeri, Betws-y-Coed, running until May 7, 2011. See the Galeri website for details of her work.
